DESCRIPTION:The Centre for Human Rights & Legal Pluralism and the O’Brien F
ellows in Residence program presents: \n\nBook launch with the authors\, A
ndrew Stobo Sniderman and Douglas Sanderson (Amo Binashii) \n\nIn-person-o
nly event. All are welcome \n\nAbout the book and the talk: \n\nDivided by
a beautiful valley and 150 years of racism\, the town of Rossburn and the
Waywayseecappo Indian reserve in Manitoba have been neighbours nearly as
long as Canada has been a country. Their story reflects much of what has g
one wrong in relations between Indigenous Peoples and non-Indigenous Canad
ians. It also offers\, in the end\, an uncommon measure of hope. Valley of
the Birdtail is about how two communities became separate and unequal—and
what it means for the rest of us.  \n\nPlease join Andrew Stobo Sniderman
and Douglas Sanderson (Amo Binashii) for a discussion about their bestsel
 ling book. \n\nAbout the authors\n\nANDREW STOBO SNIDERMAN is a writer\, l
