DESCRIPTION:The Peter MacKell Chair in Federalism welcomes Catalan constitu
 tional scholars Josep Maria Castella Andreu and Nuria Gonzalez Campana for
  a timely discussion of the constitutional crisis in Spain. They will focu
 s on the developments over the last two years\, and are likely to address 
 the impact of the 1998 Secession Reference of the Supreme Court of Canada 
 on Spanish scholars and judges.\n\nThe speakers\n\nJosep Maria Castella An
 dreu is an Associate Professor of Constitutional Law at the University of 
 Barcelona. He teaches Spanish Constitutional Law\, Constitutional Theory\,
  and Constitutional Comparative Law. His research focuses on democracy\; p
 articipatory rights\; Spanish decentralization\; and comparative federalis
 m and regionalism.\n\nNuria Gonzalez Campana is a DPhil in EU law Candidat
 e at Oxford University\, and works as a part-time EU Law Lecturer at the E
 SADE Business and Law School\, in Barcelona\, Spain\, and as an associate 
 lawyer for the Garrigues law firm in Madrid.\n\nA light lunch will be serv
