Sandra Palmieri named CDO acting director

The Faculty of Law is delighted to welcome Mtre Sandra Palmieri to its administrative team. She joins us for a one-year appointment as acting director for the Career Development Office (CDO), effective 3 January 2023. In this role, she will be responsible for leading the CDO team and offering a quality range of services, resources, and programs to undergraduate and graduate students as well as recent alumni.
Holder of a civil law degree from the University of Ottawa, Sandra Palmieri is a member of the Quebec Bar since 2004 and has two decades of experience practicing law, with a focus on immigration and refugee law in the last 12 years. From 2017 to 2019, she served as an international student advisor at Concordia University, providing advice and assistance to students to help them navigate a wide range of programs and integrate into university life. As a legal advisor and researcher for the Association Québécoise Plaidoyer-Victimes, she drafted a legal handbook entitled The rights & recourses of victims without status in Canada. From 2010 to 2012, she worked for the Immigration and Refugee Board of Canada as an assistant to board members.
