Laura Pierallini appointed Adjunct Professor

The McGill Institute of Air and Space Law is delighted to announce the appointment of Laura Pierallini as Adjunct Professor.

Prof. Pierallini is the founder and managing partner of Pierallini Law Firm, a leading Italian practice specializing in aviation law. A graduate with honors in law from the University of Rome La Sapienza, she has been a member of the Rome Bar since 1986. Laura also teaches commercial law at LUISS University in Rome and contributes to the Master’s programs in Economics, Management, and Marketing of Tourism and Cultural Heritage and in Aviation Business Administration at the LUISS School of Government.

With over four decades of experience in aviation law, Prof. Pierallini advises a global clientele across the aviation sector on matters including aircraft financing and leasing, antitrust and regulation, litigation and dispute resolution, labor law, restructuring, mergers, and corporate transactions. Her clients include airlines, manufacturers, financiers, airports, and service providers around the world.

Prof. Pierallini has been recognized internationally for her contributions to the field. She was named Best Aviation Lawyer for Italy at the 2024 Client Choice Awards and Best Aviation Lawyer at the WWL Awards. She has been consistently ranked among Europe’s top aviation lawyers, receiving honors such as Transport Lawyer of the Year at the 2021 and 2022 TopLegal Industry Awards and Aviation Finance Lawyer of the Year at the 2023 LegalCommunity Finance Awards.

An active member of the global aviation law community, Prof. Pierallini serves on the IBA Aviation Law Committee and the European Aviation Law Association, and is a member of the International Aviation Women’s Association. She regularly participates in international aviation law conferences and leads LUISS University’s annual aviation law event, bringing together distinguished experts, jurists, and professionals from around the world.
