Mark Walters, F.R. Scott Professor of Public and Constitutional Law, welcomes Professor Gabrielle Appleby, Associate Dean (International & External Engagement) in the Faculty of Law at the University of New South Wales (Sydney, Australia).

Professor Appleby will present a paper on the recognition of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples in the Australian Constitution, entitled: “The Uluru Statement: Disrupting the Constitutional Reform Debate”. Professor Appleby is the author of (among other things): Australian Public Law, 3rd ed, (OUP, 2018), and The Role of the Solicitor-General: Negotiating Law, Politics and the Public Interest (Hart, 2016).
