About the speaker

Mark A. Luz is Counsel in the Trade Law Bureau at the Department of Foreign Affairs and International Trade in Ottawa, Canada. Mr. Luz represents the Government of Canada in international arbitration proceedings arising out of Canada’s international trade obligations (particularly NAFTA Chapter 11) and in the negotiation of free trade and investment protection agreements. Prior to joining DFAIT, Mr. Luz was a senior associate in the international arbitration group of White & Case LLP in its Moscow and New York offices from 2001-2009.
