For International Women's Day, we invite you to join us for a panel discussion with Indigenous women.

There will be a presentation on the situation of missing and murdered Indigenous women and girls in Quebec and the screening of the short video, “Nimiseyak Bigiiwag" (Sisters Come Home). Afterwards, there will be an inter-generational panel discussion featuring Ellen Gabriel, Maïté Labrecque-Saganash, Nina Segalowitz, moderated by Cassandra Steer, on how communities have been affected by gender-based violence, and the reasons why this issue is important for all Canadians. A Q&A session will follow.

This event is In partnership with the Indigenous Law Association, the Centre for Human Rights and Legal Pluralism, Quebec Native Women Inc, the Montreal Holocaust Museum, the Student Affairs Office, the Social Equity & Diversity Education Office, and Women in International Security Canada.
