Cegep Students: See Yourself Here

Are you a Black or visible minority currently in Cegep who is either interested or currently applying to McGill Law? If so, we would like to meet with you! The Black Law Students Association of McGill (BLSAM) will be hosting the first Cegep edition of our yearly See Yourself Here event in an effort to bring more diversity at McGill Law.

Our vision for this event is to support you in the application and admission process, including interviews!

Current BLSAM members will conduct a review session of all of your application documents (including: CVs and personal statements). Event attendees will be paired with current law students who have been in your shoes and will thus be able to provide pointers and strategies on how to enhance and magnify your application portfolio! We will have former Cegep students to provide you with tips and tricks for your interview.

Our members will also provide advice on how to contact professors and employers for academic and professional reference letters. Many of our members are also willing to share copies of their personal statements with event attendees for reference purposes.

So, if you’re a visible minority interested in applying to law school, you really don’t want to miss out on this amazing opportunity! We look forward to seeing you all there!
