Marco Senaldi, Ph.D.

My name is Marco S. G. Senaldi and I’m joining the Department of Psychology at McGill University as a postdoctoral researcher under the co-supervision of Dr. Titone and Dr. Johns. I received my PhD in Linguistics at the Scuola Normale Superiore of Pisa (Italy) under the mentorship of Prof. Alessandro Lenci and Prof. Pier Marco Bertinetto.

My research so far has focused on computational and psycholinguistic approaches to idiomaticity and semantic compositionality. More specifically, I am interested in devising distributional semantic algorithms for compositionality assessment and automatic idiom identification in corpora and investigating which factors influence the comprehension of idioms and formal variants of idioms with eye-tracking reading studies.
