JAMES McGILL SOCIETY
One-Hundred and Ninety-sixth Meeting
The Annual Stanley Frost Lecture
A “Hybrid” meeting

Under the leadership of three Principals Robert Bell (1970-1979) David Johnston (1979-1994) & Bernard Shapiro (1994-2002), McGill navigated Quebec’s socio-political transformation, and focused upon strengthening its academic mission.

Following upon Dr. Stanley Frost’s two volume McGill University: for the Advancement of Learning, the third volume (1970-2002) traces the academic, social, administrative, and financial changes that characterized the University.

Peter McNally, Professor Emeritus, School of Information Studies, is Executive-Secretary of the James McGill Society, Director of the History of McGill Project, and author of the soon-to-be-published third volume of McGill University: for the Advancement of Learning.

Please join us for this “hybrid” meeting either in the McGill Faculty Club Ballroom OR via Zoom. Vaccination proof required upon entry to the Faculty Club. Please RSVP to susan.button [at] mcgill.ca (subject: RSVP%20JMS%20meeting%20December%206)
