Service overview

The IT Service Desk is the liaison between McGill's central IT Services and its users. It is the first point of contact for reporting incidents (e.g., when services are unavailable or malfunctioning) and service requests. The Service Desk aims to provide the quickest possible resolution of all inquiries related to IT services.

The Service Desk is also responsible for proactively informing users of all relevant IT events and changes.

Chat in real time with an IT Service Desk agent Monday through Friday, 9 am-5 pm EST. To begin a chat, log into the IT Support site and click the blue Click here to start a chat button on the right of your browser window. This will launch the IT Support Chat window, where you can type questions and begin a text chat with a support agent. NOTE: You must log in to the IT Support site to access all content, including live chat.
