 onals\, hiring managers/committee members\, and anyone interested in devel
 oping capacity in equitable hiring practices. \n\nBy attending this worksh
 op\, participants will be better able to: \n\n\n	\n		Understand the context\,
  commitments\, and policy/legal frameworks of employment equity at McGill 
 \n	\n\n\n\n	\n		Develop steps for an effective\, strategic\, and equitable sea
 rch for staff that leads to the hiring of excellent candidates \n	\n\n\n\n	
 \n		Identify and address barriers at all stages of the search\, including in
  job descriptions\, sourcing/recruitment\, screening\, interviews\, assess
 ments\, offers and onboarding \n	\n\n\n\n	\n		Receive guidance on how to apply
  the equivalency class protocol to the hiring process \n	\n\n\n \n\nNote th
