On March 31, IT Services will put in place a new high-availability myMcGill portal.
In order to perform the upgrade, myMcGill portal will be unavailable from 6 pm to 7 pm on March 31. Stay tuned for news and instructions on accessing IT services while the portal is unavailable.
Using a more robust server architecture, myMcGill should experience fewer down times during peak periods of heavy traffic. Other than a much improved level of availability, the effects of the upgrade on users will be minimal. After the upgrade:
- You will still be able to access the portal using the myMcGill tab on all McGill web pages.
- The URL will change, i.e. it will no longer be mymcgill.mcgill.ca.
- Any portal customizations made prior to the upgrade will be lost. and will need to be redone.
- Any login credentials previously entered for your Library Account will have to be re-entered.
