What happened from May through August 2017
As of August 2nd, 2017, D2 replaces CenterStage as McGill's primary web-based document management solution. D2 can be used to create, edit and collaborate on a wide range of document types ranging from text documents, to spreadsheets, slideshow presentations, images, media files, etc.
To take full advantage of the features of Email on Office 365, IT Services has replaced the old anti-spam quarantine system with Office 365’s anti-spam protection features. Student and alumni email accounts (@mail.mcgill.ca) were updated in August to use the Office 365 anti-spam protection. Faculty and Staff accounts (@mcgill.ca) were updated in early October.
No more waiting in line at the STM! McGill students can now order their reduced-care OPUS transit cards directly through Minerva. Must be a registered full-time student.
If you have multiple email accounts on services such as gmail, yahoo, in addition to your McGill email on Office 365, you can now choose to view them all on the same device, sync or forward from your McGill email to another. See Options for dealing with multiple email services.
On May 29, 2017 myCourses was upgraded to provide a cleaner look and feel, with larger titles, customizable course icons and a more consistent user experience across computers, tablets, and mobile devices.
