RESOLVED: Issues accessing some network drives on McGill's central file servers

Due to an issue with our file servers, some network drives are currently inaccessible. As a result, you may also experience issues trying to login to a computer on campus.

We are investigating the problem, and apologize for any inconvenience.

McGill websites are currently not loading for some users when using http://www.mcgill.ca. If you use https:// the pages should load. The web team is aware of the issue and is taking measures to resolve it as quickly as possible. Thank you for your patience.

Recruitment to Retirement Program picks up speed

Over the past few months, you may have heard some buzz about the Recruitment to Retirement Program, aka "R2R". This new program will replace the current Banner Human Resources Information System (HRIS) and the Payroll One-Time Payment System (POPS), and will effectively replace much of the functionality employees currently access through Minerva. It's a very wide-reaching program, which will affect every McGill employee when it is deployed.

Outbound server smtp.mcgill.ca to be decommissioned November 30, 2017

In order to increase the security of McGill’s network, the smtp email server, smtp.mcgill.ca  will be blocked starting on November 30, 2017.

If you have set up an email application using IMAP or POP protocols to access your McGill email, or if you are accessing your McGill email through a web-based email service, such as Gmail, Yahoo, or Hotmail, please ensure the outbound mail server is set to smtp.office365.com to avoid any problems sending email.

RESOLVED: Wired & Wireless connectivity issues with several access points

Several access points on campus are down and as a result there is no wired or wireless connectivity in these areas.
