Phishing scam related to the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID)

Beware of a recent phishing scam that is circulating from the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) with the subject "Constant Contact".  The email asks the recipient to click on fraudulent links which then downloads a malicious file to your device. 

If you receive this or a similar message, please DO NOT click on the link or reply to the message. Delete this email immediately! It is important to remain vigilant against hacking attempts.

The phishing scam was launched by the threat actor called Nobelium and seems to be targeting government agencies, think tanks, consultants, and non-governmental organizations.

This scam is a fraudulent attempt to gain access to your personal information. If you have already clicked on the links and submitted any personal information, you should change your McGill Password as soon as possible. See the McGill Password Reset Checklist for instructions.

If you have received a phishing email or suspect that you have, please report it, by sending the message as an attachment to phishing [at] mcgill.ca immediately.
