Maintenance will be done on the Enterprise Storage Area Network (SAN) on Tuesday, August 5 from 9pm to midnight.
The following McGill services will be unavailable for approximately 15 to 30 minutes any time during this maintenance period:
- All Staff and Student home folders (R: & P: drives)
- All departmental file shares on the central file servers
- Evault Archives and Indexing
Before the maintenance: Save and close all files on your departmental server before 9 pm Tuesday, Aug. 5. Note, if you want to continue working on a file, you can save the file to your local hard drive and then copy it over to the departmental server after the maintenance.
After the maintenance: You may need to reconnect to your mapped drives. To do this, simply reboot your computer.
