This spring, McGill University will be upgrading Banner, the University’s enterprise repository of data for administrative systems, including Student Records, Human Resources, Finance and Student Aid.

Starting at noon on Friday, April 1
Ending at noon on Tuesday, April 5

Banner and Minerva will be unavailable during this period, and several major services including:

Resolved - Login issues with Banner (INB)

Update - 11:55am

The issue has been resolved. If you experienced the issue, you will need to close and then reopen your browser.

Some users cannot log in to Banner (INB). When attempting to do so, they get an "Ora-12154 TNS Error" error message that asks them to close down their Java Client and try again.

If you experience the issue, please close your Banner window and browser, wait a minute or two, then try again.

Earlier today, some Banner users reported that toolbars and buttons were missing from Banner INB forms.

Resolved: Login issues with Banner (INB)

2:50 pm update: Users should no longer experience problems logging in to Banner.

Some users cannot log in to Banner (INB). When attempting to do so, they get the following error message: "The application failed to run. There was an error while executing the application.".
