Bourses d’excellence aux futurs enseignants program

The Quebec Ministry of Education has launched the Bourses d’excellence aux futurs enseignants program, offering $15.8 million dollars in scholarship money to Education students enrolled in a full-time Bachelor of Education program leading to teacher certification.

The value of each scholarship is $7,500 annually, with the exception for students in year 4, where it is $3,600 due to the Intern Perseverance and Success Scholarship given to students going out on their Fourth Year Field Experience.

The Bourses d’excellence scholarships are awarded based on academic excellence; students need not apply. This year, the Faculty of Education distributed 62 scholarships for students in Year 1, 2, and 3 respectively, and 129 scholarships for Year 4 students (315 scholarships in total).
