Student Support

The Institute for the Public Life of Arts and Ideas offers a range of internship and fellowship opportunities for McGill undergraduate and graduate students.

Archie Malloch Internship Awards in Public Learning

The Archie Malloch Internship Awards in Public Learning are intended for students entering the final year of their undergraduate programs. In support of this program, IPLAI has partnered with an excellent group of Montreal-based organizations concerned with the arts and social policy with whom the selected interns would be paired according to their academic expertise and professional interests. Students are invited to apply directly to IPLAI.

Fred and Betty Price Research Award and Max Stern McCord Museum Research Award

The Fred and Betty Price Research Award and the Max Stern McCord Museum Fellowship both offer financial support to research-stage graduate students whose work involves the collections of the McCord Museum. Students are invited to apply directly to IPLAI.

Archie Malloch Graduate Fellowships in Public Learning

The Archie Malloch Graduate Fellowship in Public Learning offers financial support to students in the final stages of thesis completion who show exceptional academic promise and whose intellectual pursuits are reflected in and may be supported by the work of the Institute.  IPLAI welcomes applications from graduate students in any discipline.
