DESCRIPTION:Presenting online is a workshop designed to help graduate stude
 nts increase the impact of their presentations\, particularly in online en
 vironments. The workshop is designed to cover the basics of everything fro
 m optimizing set-up and transforming visuals to honing content\, developin
 g effective engagement strategies and increasing the effectiveness of your
  voice and body language. Issues specific to both short (less than 8 minut
 e) and long (longer than 20 minute) formats will be addressed. Will be fol
 lowed by a 30 minute Q&A where participants are encouraged to ask specific
  questions about their research and try implementing strategies from the f

 chill obtained his doctorate in education from McGill University in 2011 a
 fter receiving his M.B.A. from the University of New Hampshire in 2002. Fo
 r the last 10 years he has been working with both academics and business p
 rofessionals in classes\, seminars\, professional workshops\, and through 
 independent contract work to help them hone their communication skills. Hi
 s presentation coaching work focuses on refining content\, voice\, body la
 nguage and visuals in order to increase engagement and comprehension. His 
 workshops consistently receive excellent reviews from participants\, and h
 is excellence in teaching has earned him recognition with a Distinguished 
 Teaching Award from McGill University.
