DESCRIPTION:Join us for this 2-hour interactive workshop where participants
  learn about the various impacts that sexual violence can have on individu
 als and about the key components to providing trauma-informed support to s
 omeone who discloses. By using appropriate tools and approaches\, particip
 ants are empowered to apply this new learning through group activities and
  case scenarios. The workshop will also explore key terms and discuss comm
 only held misconceptions about sexual violence that may affect one's abili
 ty to effectively respond to and support disclosures. In addition\, partic
 ipants will become familiar with the many different support resources avai
 lable on and off campus that are available in the community.Students who c
 omplete the workshop will receive credits on their co-curricular record. S
 nacks will be provided. Accessibility:The Brown Student Services building 
 is accessible by wheelchair. There is an elevator at the basement level al
 l the way to the 5th floor. There are accessible washrooms on both the sec
 ond and third floor. Gender-neutral bathrooms are available on the second 
 floor (next to room #2003)\; on the third floor (between #3004 & #3110)\; 
 and on the fifth floor (next to #5100).This event is scent-reduced to mini
 mize risk for people with environmental sensitivities\, allergies and asth
 ma. Please refrain from wearing perfumed products both before and to the e
