DESCRIPTION:During this 2-hour interactive workshop\, participants learn ab
 out the prevalence of sexual violence at McGill and in the larger communit
 y\, and the various impacts that sexual violence can have on individuals. 
 You will learn how to respond to and support people affected by sexual vio
 lence by using appropriate tools and approaches. Participants will then pr
 actice these tools and methods they have learned through group activities 
 and case scenarios. The workshop will also explore key terms and discuss c
 ommon myths and misconceptions about sexual violence that may affect one's
  ability to effectively respond to and support disclosures. Participants w
 ill also learn about the many different support resources available on cam
 pus and in the community.Accessibility:The Brown Student Services building
  is wheelchair accessible. There is an elevator in the basement all the wa
 y up to the 5th floor.To minimize the risk to those who are sensitive to t
 he environment\, such as those with allergies and asthma\, all participant
 s should refrain from using scented products before the event or bring the
 m to the event\, including but not limited to perfume\, shampoo\, or lotio
