 with a fundamental understanding and introductory hands-on experience in u
 sing GWAS and PRS for human genetics studies. Participants will have the o
 pportunity to work directly with genetic data and develop their computatio
 nal skills. The workshop will also provide scripts to perform basic GWAS a
 nd PRS analyses.   By the end of this workshop\, participants will:- Under
 stand the fundamentals of GWAS and PRS (i.e.: why and how they are used).-
  Be able to access and interpret GWAS summary statistics.- Compute PRS and
  interpret results.- Know the pitfalls and limitations of GWAS and PRS stu
 dies.   Prerequires:- Basic familiarity with R programming and the command
  line.- Preinstallation of the following software: R\, RStudio\, and Quart
 o.  **IMPORTANT NOTICE: Attendance for McGill graduate students and postdo
 ctoral fellows is subsidized by Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies. All oth
 er attendees such as undergraduate students\, interns and/or graduate stud
 ents from other institutions are required to purchase a ticket to cover or
