COVID-19 FAQs

1. As the campus is closed, how can I reach out to the Internship Offices Network?

The Internship Offices Network team is currently operating remotely. Our services are available online. If you wish to schedule an appointment with ION please visit this page or write to ion [at] mcgill.ca.

2. I was planning on doing an international internship. What is going to happen?

International internships abroad are cancelled until further notice. Students may apply for exceptions if the internship can be conducted locally and remotely by contacting the Internship Offices Network.

3. When will the 2021 ION summer internship postings be updated?

Given the uncertainty and fluid situation of COVID-19, the Internship Offices Network hopes to update 2021 summer internship postings in January 2021.

4. How can I get signatures for documents as everyone is supposed to work remotely?

ION will accept digital signatures or email approvals for documents given the current situation. Please see the following guidance:

For Digital Signatures, in Adobe, there is an option to upload the personal signature (by signing a blank sheet, scanning and uploading). This option is preferable, however digitally signed documents will be accepted.

For Email Approvals, the signer should indicate they have reviewed the document and give approval in the email sent to ion [at] mcgill.ca.
