Here are some resources to support both your physical and mental health during your time at McGill.

Info Santé 811

Dial 811 (or 514 521-2100) to access Info Santé, a FREE 24-hour phone service that puts you in contact with a health professional to discuss a non-emergency health problem. This service is available 24 hours a day /7 days a week to answer day-to-day health questions and refer you to further assistance if needed.

McGill Student Health Services

If you need to see a doctor, or you have a pressing health problem, you can visit McGill Student Health Services in the Brown Building (Dr. Penfield Entrance, floor 4A).  Drop-in and booked appointments are available; see the McGill Student Health Services website for details.  Bring your Blue Cross Card or Medicare card for direct billing (i.e. you won't have to pay).

McGill Counselling Services


The focus at McGill Counselling Services is to enable students to achieve psychological well-being and academic success. They provide a secure, non-judgmental and confidential space in which to pursue your mental health treatment.  Their clinic consists of a team of psychiatrists, psychologists and psychotherapists who are all available by appointment. They offer services ranging from individual therapy to light therapy lamps. To learn more about mental health and resources available, visit the McGill Mental Health Hub.The clinic can be used by all registered McGill students who have paid the Student Services fee.
