COVID-19 Updates from International Student Services
International students with a valid study permit or study permit approval letter can now travel to Canada as long as they are registered at a designated learning institution (DLI) with an approved COVID-19 readiness plan. McGill is one of the institutions on the list of DLIs with an approved COVID-19 readiness plan. Students travelling to Canada will need to have a self-quarantine plan to ensure that they can self-isolate for 14 days after arrival.

Please visit our COVID-19 page for additional news, resources, and FAQs.

Quarantine Support Group

Have you been instructed to self-isolate for 14 days by Public Health or the Canada Border Services Agency? Are you feeling isolated while you quarantine? Has your mental health been impacted by the confinement?

This online support group is an opportunity to come together, share what you’ve been going through, and receive support. Open to all McGill students who have recently arrived in Canada and are under the 14-day mandatory quarantine order and/or who have been instructed to self-isolate by a Public Health authority. Participants are welcome to attend any or all sessions while they self-isolate.

Please register at least 60 minutes prior to the start time of a session in order to receive the invitation to the online meeting.

Please note this is an emotional support group, not an info-session about how to quarantine. See here for additional self-isolation guidelines.

All Wellness Hub events are made available only to McGill students who have registered. To keep our virtual space safe, please do not allow any other person to access your registration information. By choosing to participate, you consent that your name (or preferred name), image, and voice may be shared with other participants.
