The annual McGill Innovation Fund (MIF) Passing the Torch event is a two-part session to welcome our newest cohort of selected teams. Before sending in your RSVP, please take moment to read the descriptions of each session:
Roadmap Session: The Roadmap session is a crucial first step in the journey of selected teams. Here they will sit down face-to-face with advisors to discuss key milestones to focus on over the course of the next year. It is a chance for recipients to gain insight into the entrepreneurial process, as many advisors have experience in building companies from scratch. Teams will agree to develop a list of concrete tasks to aim for, and will later report their progress on these tasks in subsequent meetings over the next months. If you are interested in becoming an advisor at the Roadmap event, make sure you have signed up as an ecosystem member first.
Networking Event: One of the highlights of the MIF calendar, networking sessions are an opportunity to broaden your circle of contacts. The spontaneity and openness of these gatherings are a chance to work on pitch skills, make valuable business connections and to just have fun. Food and drink will be provided. Other programming may also be offered (final agenda pending). This event is open to all members of the MIF ecosystem: advisors, recipients, past participants, applicants, and anyone else who is interested in innovation at McGill University. Join us!
