DESCRIPTION:Managing interns may seem like a simple activity for researcher
 s\, but this is less the case when it comes to working with people who hav
 e different skill sets. How do you determine the quality of the work? How 
 to ensure the intern is motivated and engaged? What are some red flags tha
 t might be missed when dealing with non-technical positions? This session 
 will help MIF teams get the most from their interns. To guide teams throug
 h this exercise\, we have enlisted the support of two experts: Professor N
 iels Billou and Frances Arthur.\n\nNiels\, Senior Faculty Lecturer\, Strat
 egy & Organization at the Desautels School of Management\, is an expert in
  design thinking and innovation in a variety of contexts\, including large
  organizations and start-ups\, in the private and social sectors. He has t
 aught at some of the world’s leading business schools: London Business Sch
 ool\, HEC Montreal\, HEC Paris\, Desautels Faculty of Management (McGill U
 niversity)\, European School of Management and Technology (ESMT)\, New Yor
 k University (NYU)\, Ivey Business School.  He has facilitated innovation 
 in companies such as IBM\, Deutsche Telekom\, Metro\, Bosch Siemens\, SAP\
 , Desjardins Insurance\, Solidarity Funds FTQ\, Hydro-Quebec and VIA Rail.
  \n\nFrances is a recognized leader in the HR field\, passionate about all
  aspects of recruitment\, with a strength\, and track record\, of deliveri
 ng talent to the business by building and coaching strong teams that deliv
 er. Offering a broad exposure to all areas of recruitment gained from work
 ing in retained search\, in-house recruitment functions & the RPO business
  in North America. More recently\, project management has been the focus\,
  with accountability for the design and roll out of a Canadian Graduate Pr
 ogram. She is currently Indigenous Lead for HR at AtkinsRealis.\n\nRegistr
