Stroke Awareness Month
June is a reminder of the importance of recognizing the signs of a stroke and understanding how to reduce the risks. Stroke continues to be one of the leading causes of death and disability in Canada.
At the Neuro-Patient Resource Centre, we offer a variety of books and resources to help you better understand what a stroke is and the recovery process following a stroke.
Here are a few titles:
- When Your Spouse Has a Stroke: Caring for Your Partner, Yourself, and Your Relationship
- My Stroke of Insight: A brain scientist’s personal journey
- Slow dance: a story of stroke, love and disability
- Les AVC : 100 questions-réponses
- AVC : en réchapper et y échapper
- Rebondir après l'épreuve
We are located in Room 354 at The Neuro (Montreal Neurological Institute-Hospital). You are welcome to drop by anytime between 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. to browse the available books.
