Winner announced! Beats Headphones - IT Services Virtual Scavenger Hunt contest!

Congratulations to Emma Hogarth, from McGill’s Biomedical Sciences program, for winning the 2024 IT Services Quiz Scavenger Hunt Contest.

Emma not only scored 80% or higher on our IT Quiz but also won a pair of wireless Beats headphones in the prize draw!

Thank you to all who entered and answered skill-testing questions about the IT services available to McGill students.

We had 1513 entries! Within those entries:

  • 99% of entrants knew why 2FA is important. Learn more.
  • 93% of entrants knew the uPrint email address (uprint.mono.mcgill.ca) to send their black and white documents. Learn more.
  • 88% of entrants knew what they could do on the McGill IT support site (see below).

Be sure to visit the McGill IT Support site where you can:

  • Find free software,
  • Look up how-to and troubleshooting info in the IT Knowledge Base,
  • Have a live chat with an IT support agent if you’re having technical issues.
  • Get instant support from our Virtual Agent if you're having technical issues.

October is Cybersecurity Awareness month! Throughout October, IT Services will share essential tips and resources to help you keep cybersafe. Be sure to catch us in person at the IT Services Roadshow – drop by and learn more! Also, check out our newly revamped Secure Your Journey website which aims to increase the awareness of IT security throughout McGill and provide the necessary tools and information to help keep the University safe.
