 DCM Candidate Class of 025 \n\nSarah is a registered nurse and fourth-year
  medical student here at McGill University\, completing her Scholarship in
  Medical and Health Sciences Education elective at the Institute of Health
  Sciences Education (IHSE). Prior to medical school\, Sarah was a curricul
 um assistant with the Canadian Alliance of Nurse Educators Using Simulatio
 ns (Can-SIM) and an academic mentor at the faculty of health sciences at t
 he University of Ottawa. As a research assistant with the Consortium Natio
 nal de Formation en Santé\, she focused on regulatory practices for franco
 phone minorities and the transition into nursing practice. In medical scho
 ol\, her passion for education continued. She held the role of VP of Medic
 al Education from 2022-2023. She led the independent student assessment ta
 sk force for the UGME program accreditation\, culminating in a 100-page re
 port to the Committee on Accreditation of Canadian Medical Schools. She ra
 n various medical education initiatives through the student society\, name
 ly the SEAD surgical immersion program\, ACE Buddy Mentoring Program and C
 affeinate a Resident program\, amongst others. She found a passion for der
 matology and primary care during her medical school journey. Sarah helped 
 jump-start as a project lead 'Montreal Derm FilEZ\,' a dermatology educati
 on platform with Dr. Elena Netchiporouk and the Department of Dermatology 
 at McGill. She completed an elective in New Zealand with world-renowned de
 rmatology education experts\, namely the DermNet NZ founder Dr. Oakley. Sh
 e now seeks to bring the quality dermoscopy teaching she received in New Z
 ealand to other McGill students through her IHSE elective. \n\nShe is supe
 rvised by Dr. Carver\, Associate Professor at the Institute of Health Scie
 nces Education\, and co-supervised by Dr. Elena Netchiporouk\, dermatologi
 st and Assistant Professor at the Department of Medicine and Dr. Renata Sa
 va\, clinical lecturer and family medicine physician at Saint-Mary GMF-U.

 ridging Clinical Practice with Interdisciplinary Research in Health Profes
 sions Education\n\nPamela Lamb is a qualitative health researcher and form
 er registered nurse with specializations in cardiovascular and thoracic su
 rgery and community health. She received a PhD in Educational Studies from
  McGill University (2023). Her dissertation examined the impact of partici
 patory arts-based research on audiences\, focusing on affective engagement
  as a key factor in shaping attitudinal and behavioral change. She develop
 ed a practice framework for affective reflexivity—a discursive approach th
 at parses affect and emotion to better understand ‘knowing differently by 
 feeling differently.’ Her current research interests in medical humanities
 \, applied to health professions education and practice\, is informed by h
 er interdisciplinary background in nursing\, women’s studies\, communicati
 on studies\, and educational studies. Her postdoctoral research explores t
 he values-practice gap in compassionate care\; specifically\, what encoura
 ges and what inhibits clinicians’ capacity to demonstrate compassionate ca
 re towards themselves and their patients. She is supervised by Dr. Yvonne 
 Steinert\, Professor of Family Medicine and Health Sciences Education at t
 he Institute of Health Sciences Education.\n
