 ty Development website.\n\nAbstract\n	Being an ethical and antiracist educa
 tor requires ongoing reflection on the colonial assumptions\n	dominating me
 dical and health sciences education. Foundational principles of anti-racis
 t pedagogy will be introduced and common challenges and pitfalls that facu
 lty members and teaching assistants experience in the learning environment
  will be examined. Approaches to deepen one’s preparation and response to
 \n	difficult moments as they arise will be offered\, while considering proa
 ctive strategies to integrate inclusive practices into teaching practice t
 o advance health equity and justice.\n\nAnanya Tina Banerjee is an Assista
 nt Professor and the Equity\, Diversity\,\n	Inclusion and Anti-Racism Lead 
 at the School of Population & Global Health\,\n	McGill University. She deve
 loped and offered the first course on race and health in a school of publi
 c health in Canada in 2015. She is well known for her\n	anti-racism and ant
 i-oppression practice in the learning environment and\n	providing critical 
 mentorship for racialized students in public health programs.\n	Dr. Banerje
 e’s classroom practices\, reflections and research focused on\n	anti-racism
  have been widely published in the BMJ\, Lancet\, and Canadian Journal of 
 Public Health. She won the 2022 McGill Faculty of Health Sciences and\n	Med
 icine Teaching Innovation Award recognizing her unique pedagogy for\n	inclu
 sive public health education and she serves on The Lancet’s International
 \n	Advisory Board for Racial Inequalities.\n\n \n
