Internship Award Recipients

IGSF Internships

The Mary Eleanor Shewan Research Internships with IGSF were created by a generous donation from Cynthia Shewan, BA'65, in memory of her mother, Mary Eleanor Shewan. The internships were awarded to students whose work focuses on issues surrounding diversity, equity, and inclusivity.

Clara Lagacé is producing of a video-based project which aims to develop an inclusive conversation on what it means and how to make safer spaces on the McGill University campus. The project is called "Making Safer Spaces" and directly builds on the internship work done by the previous year's IGSF intern.

Leah Paul, whose internship location is the Social Equity and Diveristy Education Office (SEDE), is raising awareness of issues concerning equity, inclusivity, and discrimination by building content on and through social media tools. A particular focus of this work is the inaugural Consent Campaign at McGill.
