DESCRIPTION:When: Thursday March 21st\, 12:30-2:00\n	Where: IGSF Seminar Roo
 m\, 3487 Peel street\n	\n	In 2017\, I realized that medical photographs of t
rans people from some of the case reports published in peer-reviewed journ
als were showing up in google image search results. In collaboration with
my team\, we conducted a systematic search of 605 medical photographs from
94 case reports published between 2008-2015. Of these\, 37% of the studie
s had at least one photograph freely available on google images. I found t
hese results shocking\, but so far this information has garnered little in
terest. In this presentation\, I will explore some of my thinking about th
e best strategies to draw attention to this situation and to motivate chan
 ges in policy and practice.\n
