DESCRIPTION:Offered by the Health and Well-being Program\n\nDespite being a
natural and inevitable life transition for women\, menopause is often shr
ouded in silence and taboo. This lack of discussion can lead to a lack of
knowledge\, understanding\, and support for women going through this trans
ition.\n\nIn this session\, Dr. Ann Rothman breaks the silence and openly
discusses menopause and its different stages\, including perimenopause and
postmenopause. She will explore the various physical and emotional sympto
ms that women may experience during this transition\, such as hot flashes\
, night sweats\, vaginal dryness\, mood swings\, and fatigue. She will als
o delve into the impact of menopause on a woman's mental and emotional wel
lbeing\, including the potential for depression and anxiety.\n\nDr. Rothma
n will discuss the importance of support and resources for women going thr
ough menopause as well as the various treatment options available for mana
ging menopausal symptoms\, such as hormone replacement therapy\, lifestyle
changes\, and alternative therapies. Additionally\, she will address comm
on misconceptions and fears surrounding menopause and provide participants
with evidence-based information to alleviate concerns.\n\nThis session ai
ms to provide a safe and supportive space for women to discuss menopause o
penly and ask questions without judgment. By breaking the silence\, we hop
e to empower women to take control of their health and wellbeing during th
is transition. Moreover\, we hope to encourage broader conversations about
menopause in society and promote greater understanding and support for wo
men going through this significant life change.\n\nTo register:\n\n1. Clic
