Labour and employee relations
The labour and employee relations group acts as the university spokesperson during all negotiations with our unionized employee groups. This group works closely with all managers responsible for operations and human resources advisors on all matters relating to the interpretation and application of our collective agreements. The group regularly benchmarks working conditions with other Quebec and Canadian universities.
This group is also responsible for the development, update and application of university policies aimed at non-unionized administrative staff.
Finally, the team works closely with all of the university’s employee group representatives and disseminates information concerning current negotiations. It also communicates all other labour-related issues to the McGill community.
