Negotiation Update: AMUSE (Casual Employees)

Since June 30, 2021, the parties have met 4 times to discuss their respective monetary proposals. Discussions are progressing, and the parties have discussed monetary items such as:

  1. Stand-by premium
  2. Meal breaks
  3. Minimum rates and wage structure
  4. Wage rate progression
  5. Sick days eligibility criteria
  6. Vacation and length of service
  7. End of contract indemnity
  8. Pay for in-person work during university restricted access due to Covid
  9. Right to disconnect while working remotely
  10. Eligibility to benefits
  11. Duration of the collective agreement

The parties will continue to discuss monetary elements at the next scheduled meeting, scheduled for October 12, 2021.
