McGill’s postdoctoral fellows received their accreditation from the Commission des relations du travail on June 9, 2015. They become the third bargaining unit of AMURE/PSAC, which already includes research associates and research assistants.
This group represents more than 400 members. Only those postdoctoral fellows who receive research funds from McGill University are covered by the accreditation process.
The next steps will be to establish negotiating committees for both sides who will then meet to exchange their sets of proposals and agree on how the bargaining process should unfold.
