Course objectives:
Learn more about what mindfulness is, its benefits and how we can apply it. Mindfulness is a mind-body based technique, stemming from meditation practices. It teaches us to become more aware of our present thoughts and feelings, especially ones that are negative or stressful, and encourages us to choose how we react to them instead of being controlled and overwhelmed. In this session we will discuss:
• What is Mindfulness and how can it help you
• The Mind-Body Connection
• When to practice Mindfulness in your everyday life
• How Mindfulness can help sleep/stress/anxiety/mood
• Practice guided meditations
