Although an article's title and abstract are short in length, they can play a large role in attracting readers, explaining your research, and conveying the significance of your work. They can also be deceptively difficult to write.
Participate in this workshop and you will:
- Practice crafting an article title
- Identify what elements make strong abstracts in your discipline
- Leave with a model of an abstract
You should come to the workshop with:
- A laptop computer
- A draft abstract
- A sample title and abstract from a respected journal in your field
The workshop will be led by Yvonne Hung, who holds a Ph.D. in Enviroinmental Psychology from the CUNY Graduate Center and has experience in Writing Across the Curriculum environments.
This workshop will be held on McGill's Downtown Campus on Friday, Feburary 6, from 1 to 3 pm. Registrants will receive the workshop location in a confirmation email.
Registration for this workshop is now closed.
