In a message to the McGill community on February 4th, Principal Fortier announced that Spring 2021 convocation ceremonies will be celebrated virtually. We are continuing to assess our options and the appropriate timing for a return to in-person celebrations to honour the graduates of 2020 and 2021. We will share any updates on this site, when available, as to whether in-person ceremonies will be held.

Spring 2020 Convocation Feedback Form

Determining ways to recognize our graduating students remains top of mind during this time. The Convocation Subcommittee has been meeting regularly to actively explore the feasibility of both virtual ceremonies and postponed in-person celebrations (which are not mutually exclusive). Though the uncertainty of the current crisis means we may not know for some time whether—and if so, when—the latter might be possible, it is integral during the planning phases to gather feedback and ideas from all areas of McGill. All members of the McGill community, and especially students set to graduate in Spring 2020, are invited to submit their thoughts to the Convocation Subcommittee using this webform.

Submissions will close on April 27, 2020 at 5pm ET.
