To honour Dr. Richard H. Tomlinson's generous contribution, GPS holds an annual event called the Tomlinson Talks where Tomlinson Scholars have the opportunity to showcase the exceptional graduate research they are doing at McGill with the support of the Tomlinson fellowship.

The 2022 Tomlinson Talks were held virtually with three Tomlinson Scholars sharing their research in a fixed 6 minutes and 40 second presentation format (20 slides timed to run for 20 seconds each).
