Al Ghurair STEM Scholars Program

The Abdulla Al Ghurair Foundation for Education (AGFE) is devoted to equipping Arab youth with the knowledge and skills they need to fulfill their promise as the future leaders of the region, through financial aid and a well-designed support system.  

Getting a top quality Master’s degree is not always possible for young Arabs, especially if finances are a barrier. If you are an exceptional student with a passion for Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM) and you are curious, creative, and determined to pursue your dreams regardless of your circumstances, the Al Ghurair STEM Scholars Program can offer you the scholarship and support system you need to realize your goals.

Eligibility

Students must be admitted to McGill in one of the approved STEM-related Master's degree programs listed below, according to admission criteria in effect at the time of application to the UniversityClick here for more information on how to apply to McGill. 

  In addition, applicants must meet the following AGFE criteria.

 

Funding

The Abdulla Al Ghurair Foundation for Education will provide annual funding for the following:

  • McGill tuition
  • Program/ancillary fees
  • Student housing
  • Health and dental insurance
  • Food budget (paid directly to the student each month)
  • Monthly stipend
  • Books allowance
  • Winter clothing allowance

 

Duration

Funding is provided for completing all credits required by the degree program during the typical duration of the Master’s degree based on a full time study.
