Canada Graduate Scholarship Doctoral (CGS D)
SSHRC CGSD application submission Deadline
extended to 4:00pm 03 October.
Canada's three federal granting agencies, the Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR), the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council (NSERC) and the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council (SSHRC) have been working together to harmonize the Canada Graduate Scholarships - Doctoral (CGS D) Programs. The Tri- Agencies have recently launched the first phase of the harmonization, which includes a new common CGS D webpage, harmonized application timeline and program descriptions.

Students will still apply via each agency specific web site linked to from the new Tri-Agency Canada Graduate Scholarships - Doctoral Program webpage.
GPS will download all applications and forward via Sharepoint to all Academic Units by 05 Oct end of day.

Departmental Quotas
Academic Units are required by McGill to rank their applicants and recommend the top applicants for funding, based on their eligible Graduate enrolment.
Academic Units may recommend 10% of their Graduate enrolment, to a maximum of 10.
Units where the 10% of enrolment is less than 4, may submit up to 4.

Note: “Department” roles usually refers to work led by appointed Academic Unit fellowships coordinator.
NOTE: GPS does not require hardcopies of applications or other supporting documents for this competition.
NO EXCEPTIONS: Incomplete, incorrect, or late application submissions by students will not be accepted. Late recommendations are not acceptable and will not be forwarded to the GPS Central Selection Committee.
Should an awardee’s student status change in any way during the course of the award, it is the responsibility of the awardee to notify the Academic Unit, GPS-Graduate Funding, and the Agency.
