FAQ: University Services

What services can I access on campus?

As campus activities begin to ramp up, you can consult the McGill Current Operational Status page, a regularly updated guide to available services and activities at McGill.

What kind of mental health support is available for students?

Consult the Student Wellness Hub for updated information on their activities, including a gradual resumption of in-person services for students.

You can also access Keep.meSAFE, a mental health counselling service that provides 24/7 access to licensed counsellors through telephone and mobile chat in more than 60 languages. To access this service, download the MySSP app in the Apple App Store or Google Play. Keep.meSAFE is offered to students in partnership with SSMU and PGSS.

Can I access the library?

Physical locations of the McGill library are closed until further notice, but the library does have a huge number of online resources and is still offering some services. This includes chatting with a librarian seven days a week from 10AM – 6PM. For information about accessing library resources, please consult the Library's website.

If you are in Montreal, you can take advantage of the Library Pickup Service for print books not available electronically or through the HathiTrust Emergency Temporary Access Service (ETAS). Students can also reserve on campus study hubs spaces designed for quiet individual study, with group study tables for group work.
