Substitutions and exemptions

In an effort to go paperless and further streamline our processes, we have created a new online student adjustment form (Student Adjustment Form). The new form came into effect on January 7, 2013.

Please note:  You will not receive an email notification to confirm the student adjustment has been made.  You will be able to check the student’s degree audit in 3 to 5 business days.

Batch reports

What are Batch reports?

Batch reports are individually compiled degree audit reports for a specific cohort of graduating students.  With batch reports you do not have to individually type in every student’s id number and generate a degree evaluation report.  You just have to specify the cohort of students you require the degree audit for then the batch report will be made available to you through Minerva in a PDF file format.

Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies Mourns Charlotte Légaré

We are deeply saddened to announce that our dear friend and colleague, Charlotte Légaré, passed away on Monday after a long struggle with cancer. Charlotte worked at McGill for 30 years.  For over 20 years she was Director of Graduate Studies, but more than that, Charlotte was the heart of GPS.   She will be greatly missed. Visitation will begin at 11 a.m. on Saturday May 4, 2013 at Urgel Bourgie funeral complex, 1255 Beaumont, Mont-Royal.

Award for Excellence in Service

Each year, the Dean of Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies is pleased to invite departments to submit nominations for the Award for Excellence in Service to Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies. This award acknowledges outstanding contributions to graduate and postdoctoral education at McGill by members of the administrative and support staff of the University. This award is given every year that a suitable nominee is put forward. The selection committee could consider recognizing more than one employee in a single year.
