If you are a student organization seeking funding please go here.
Funding may be requested for conferences, events, support for department students to purse global health opportunities, or support needed to complete a global health project that falls outside traditional funding. All requests should be collaborative in nature and should be requested from an organized global health team or from a department.
Applications may be submitted at any point during the year. The first step is to discuss the project with with Kristin Hendricks, GHP Program Manager (kristin.hendricksATmcgill.ca or 398-5345). If funds are requested for an event the application must be submitted least 6 weeks prior to the event.
Funding restrictions:
- Applications are not accepted from individual researchers. These funds should support the work of McGill researchers working collaboratively with each other or entire departments.
- GHP will not provide funds unless the team matches our contribution.
- GHP will not consider multiple requests for the same activity.
- No retroactive funding requests will be accepted.
- Funding limit for faculty conferences is $3,000. Other types of projects will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis.
Requirements of funding recipients:
- Include the Global Health Programs logo on all promotional materials to indicate that GHP is a sponsor. Display GHP vertical poster stand at lectures/events where appropriate.
- Submit details of the event to GHP office at least 2-4weeks prior to event to be listed on the website and in the email newsletter.
- Submit a couple of pictures and a brief summary of the event to us for inclusion in our annual report (globalhealth [at] mcgill.ca)
Requirements for global health teams under the GHP umbrella
