An Update on the McGill Summer Institute and COVID-19 Impact

The management team of the McGill Summer Institute in Infectious Diseases and Global Health and McGill University are monitoring the latest travel advisories from the Government of Canada and WHO as they relate to COVID-19.

At this time we feel it is in the best interest of our participants, faculty, and community to cancel all courses in the McGill Summer Institute in Infectious Diseases and Global Health 2020.

All guests who have paid registration fees for 2020 will receive a full refund by April 3. If you don’t see the credit on your statement by then, please reach out to summerinstitute.med [at] mcgill.ca.

The Summer Institute will be back and better than ever in summer 2021. Participants who applied in 2020 and who are interested in attending in 2021 will have to re-apply when the courses open in fall 2020.

For other information about the cancellation, please consult our FAQ page http://mcgill-idgh.ca/overview/cancellation-information-covid-19/ .

McGill University is located on land which has long served as a site of meeting and exchange amongst Indigenous Peoples, including the Haudenosaunee and Anishinabeg Nations. McGill honours, recognizes, and respects these nations as the traditional stewards of the lands and waters on which peoples of the world now gather. Today, this meeting place is still the home to many Indigenous Peoples from across Turtle Island. We are grateful to have the opportunity to work on this land.
