Tea with the Principal

On Wednesday, May 9, 2018, Principal and Vice-Chancellor Suzanne Fortier, BSc’72, PhD’76, welcomed guests from the McGill 1821 Society and the Macdonald Legacy Society to the annual Afternoon Tea with the Principal at the Mount Royal Club in Montreal.

Hosted by Master of Ceremonies Michael Richards, BA’60, BCL’63, this signature event featured special guest speakers including McGill Chancellor Michael Meighen, BA’60, LLD'12, with music provided by students from the Schulich School of Music. Daniel Morris, MSc(A)’13, GradDipRD’14, who is legally blind, and his wife, Dr. Sophie Gosselin, an emergency physician at the McGill University Health Centre, shared their story of giving back to McGill through a bursary for students with disabilities, along with including a bequest in their estate plans to continue support.
